Check facilities for your route

If access to a prayer room or congregation matters to your trip, identify options near the places you will stay and visit. Confirm hours, entry arrangements and any equipment you need directly with the facility.

A room listed in an older directory may have moved or closed. Use the listing as a lead, then check the current contact details and availability.

Visit Seoul Central Mosque

Seoul Central Mosque (서울중앙성원) is near Itaewon in Seoul. The Korea Muslim Federation publishes visitor information and prayer timetables.

Distinguish sightseeing hours from access for worshippers. Check the current timetable for the date and ask about prayer-hall arrangements when needed.

Follow dress and conduct instructions, avoid interrupting prayer and obtain permission before photographing people. Group visits or guided visits may require advance arrangements.

Find mosques and prayer rooms elsewhere

Use the Korea Muslim Federation's directory or a local congregation to identify mosques and Islamic centres in the region you will visit. Confirm the address and current access rather than relying on a fixed national count.

Some hotels, hospitals, attractions and shopping facilities provide prayer rooms. Ask about the location, hours, washing facilities and whether a mat is available. A hotel's private guest room may also suit your needs, but choose according to your own practice and requirements.

Check airport access carefully

At Incheon Airport, use the official facility information or ask an information desk for the nearest prayer room. Check the terminal, floor and whether it is airside, beyond security, or landside, in the public area.

A departing or transferring passenger may have access to a room that an arriving passenger cannot reach after clearing immigration. If no listed room is accessible from your location, ask staff whether another suitable space is available.

Find other religious services

For Christian services in English or another language, check the particular church's current schedule. A congregation's regular timetable can change for holidays or special events.

Korean Buddhist temples welcome visitors in designated areas, but prayer halls and ceremonies have their own arrangements. A templestay is a booked temple programme that may include an overnight stay and participation in selected activities.

For Jewish services and kosher arrangements, contact Chabad of Korea in advance. Hindu and Sikh communities also have places of worship; confirm current community information and the journey before travelling.

Respect the purpose of the space

A place of worship is not automatically a general-purpose rest area. Follow instructions on footwear, quiet, photography and access to private or ceremonial areas.

If a service, language or accessibility arrangement is essential, obtain confirmation before making it the centre of your day.
