Choose a booth or a studio
Automated photo booths offer a quick way to take and print portraits alone or with other people. Life4Cuts, Photoism, Haru Film, Photogray and Photo Signature are among the brands you may see.
A staffed self-portrait studio is a different service: you may book a session in a room with studio lighting and use a remote shutter. Its price, shooting time, editing and prints depend on the package.
Check the branch's current hours and whether a booking is needed. Many booths welcome walk-ins, but not every location is open around the clock or unstaffed.
Check the package before paying
Read the layout choices, price and number of printed copies. Some formats make strips, while others make a larger print. Branded frames or extra copies can cost more.
Check whether digital photographs or a session video are included and how to download them. Do not assume every machine provides all the original files or prints exactly two copies.
Payment methods vary. If your card does not work or the instructions are unclear, use the listed support contact or choose a staffed service.
Take the photographs
Follow the booth's order for selecting a frame, paying and entering. Some controls are inside the booth and others are outside, so the process is not identical everywhere.
Position everyone within the preview and follow the countdown. The machine may take several shots and then give you a limited time to choose which ones to print.
Props are optional. Use shared hats or glasses carefully and put them back when finished. Check any available filter or retouching settings if you prefer a more natural appearance.
Save digital files promptly
If the print or screen provides a QR code, use it to open the official download page. Save the photographs and video you want, then check that the files are actually stored on your phone.
Download links may expire. Follow the stated deadline rather than assuming you can retrieve them weeks later. Keep the QR code private if it gives access to your photographs.
Look for a particular frame or setting
Some brands offer limited-time artist, character or seasonal frames, and some branches have themed interiors. Check the brand's current information if a particular design is the reason for your visit.
A frame available at one branch may not be available elsewhere. Past campaigns are not automatically recoverable through an app; confirm whether reprinting is supported for that specific frame.
Be considerate of other customers
Wait your turn, keep the selection process moving and leave the booth ready for the next group. Take only your own prints and do not photograph another customer's images or screen.
For a larger group, check the booth's capacity or book a studio that fits everyone comfortably. Do not crowd in simply because the curtain can close.
