Use 1330 for travel information and assistance
1330 is the Korea Tourism Organization's travel helpline. It provides tourism information, interpretation and a route for complaints about a travel experience. Start from the official Visit Korea page.
Call 1330 within Korea or +82 2 1330 from overseas. The official page also provides an online voice call and real-time chat. Online calls over Wi-Fi are free; your telephone or mobile-data charges can still apply when using other connections.
Use chat when a photograph or written explanation helps
The official page links to browser chat and messaging options including KakaoTalk, LINE and Facebook. KakaoTalk is a messaging app used widely in Korea. Follow the links from Visit Korea to reach the official service.
Check the current language and service-hour information when you connect. Do not assume that every language or communication channel has the same schedule.
Explain the situation clearly
Say which language you need and briefly explain the question. If the answer depends on location, provide the address, venue name or precise landmark. For a problem with a purchase, have the receipt, date and business details ready.
In chat, send a short explanation with a relevant photograph if needed. Avoid including passport, payment-card or other sensitive details unless the official service explains why they are required.
Submit a tourism complaint
You can use the tourism complaint service or ask 1330 about the reporting route. Keep receipts, booking confirmations and messages that explain what happened. State the outcome you are seeking, such as clarification of a charge or a refund.
For immediate danger, call 112 for police or 119 for fire, an ambulance or rescue. Ask the emergency dispatcher for language assistance rather than delaying an urgent call to contact a tourism service first.
