How to Fill Out South Korea e-Arrival Card & Q-Code (Step-by-Step) — Ahmed Dawn

Prepare your documents and travel details

The e-Arrival Card is Korea’s online arrival declaration. Before opening the official form, prepare your passport, travel details, an email address you can access and your accommodation’s address and phone number. The portal offers an individual form for one to nine people under one representative, a group form for travel agencies, and a Navigator that tells you whether you need to file at all. Check the official declaration guide for exemptions and the current filing instructions before starting.

Check the filing dates before starting: the form uses the three-day filing window displayed by the portal, in Korean time, and the confirmation is valid for 72 hours from the moment you submit, not from when you land, per the official user guide. A delay can cause an early submission to expire before you reach immigration. Submit before immigration inspection and check that the submission remains valid if your flight is delayed.

Step 1 — terms and email

LineWhat to do
Agree to allRead the terms and provide the required consent to continue.
"You must be 14 years old or older"The person submitting must meet the age requirement. An adult can submit for a child under 14; follow the representative-applicant instructions.
Email and verificationUse an address you can access and enter the authentication code when prompted.

The official authentication notice introduced a code-entry step from May 6, 2026. Follow the current form; older guides showing no verification predate that change.

Step 2 — your passport

The address, and how to find it

Use the accommodation’s road address (도로명주소) rather than relying only on its name. Open the form’s Address Lookup Guide, search using the supported address or postcode fields and choose the matching location. Check that the selected Korean and English address refer to the same property.

Follow the lookup’s examples for the search format. Road names can include endings such as 대로, 로 and 길, commonly written as -daero, -ro and -gil in English. If the lookup does not find the hotel, ask the property for its Korean road address and postcode. In practice the fastest route is the address printed on the booking confirmation, or asking the front desk for the road address (도로명주소) — most Korean hotels have it on a business card.

No booking yet

Enter the actual address of your intended stay. If arrangements are not yet confirmed, consult the portal’s help rather than inventing an address. If your plans change after submission, use Check/Edit e-Arrival Card to update the information.

Transit passengers

Same-day transit passengers who must clear immigration with no Korean hotel enter the airport's own address, which the official FAQ gives in full:

AirportAddressPostcode
Incheon Terminal 1인천광역시 중구 공항로 27222382
Incheon Terminal 2인천광역시 중구 제2터미널대로 44622382

Jeju제주특별자치도 제주시 공항로 263115

Passengers who stay airside and never clear immigration do not file.

Families and groups

For one to nine people, the first person to file is the representative. Add declarant opens a slot for each other traveller — their own passport photo and details — and a tick, Same as the representative applicant, copies the flights, purpose and address across; once copied, those lines are edited from the representative's page only. Each person still chooses their own job, and can give their own email to receive their own issue number; otherwise all the numbers go to the representative. A child under 14 is always added this way, never filed alone. Groups of two to a thousand on a shared itinerary use the travel-agency form, which bulk-uploads passport photos into a grid.

What comes back

You receive an issue number and a confirmation showing the submitted details and validity period. Save the confirmation if you may need to retrieve or edit the declaration. There is no QR code on it, and no print-out is required: immigration finds the filing when it scans your passport.
